Kryptonite
Injury update
I've been dining out with Lulu, WTR, Ellie, Jen-runs, Owl, Trivia Dave, and Portrunr, and sleeping-in this week: it feels good. I've also been resting a swollen left foot which has plagued me for 6 weeks.
The doctor said '3 weeks rest'. He thought a piece of Kryptonite fell into my left running shoe. Centennial Park is full of the stuff. A graveyard of could-of-been superhero athletes. I'm just balancing the risk of coming back too early against running in city to surf in half-reasonable shape.
I've started looking for swimwear, my old speedos lasted 10 years and fell apart a couple of years ago. I only swim when I can't run. I can't decide if those swim-shorts are groovy, or for fat old men. I'll have to go back to the beach with my binoculars again and take a look.
Feel free to offer fashion advice please.

Try and avoid Tamarama when you head out with your binoculars DJ, otherwise you will end up with a g-string !
hah - the only good look for men in swimming apparel is boardies - and they aren't much good for laps. so you just have to accept that budgie smugglers are the only option and avoid hanging out in them longer than strictly necessary :)
The great debate; bordies/budgies. Go the budgies. BTW I have to agree "Blue Dog's Mum" is a piece of work.
Budgie smugglers over a blue cat suit with your cape and a big red S! I thought you must be on the sidelines given how quiet you have been! I hope the foot clears up quickly.... is it a muscle thing? Take care!
Hope the old ones didn't fall apart while in use.
Ask Blue Dogs Mum, she apparently knows a lot. If you are doing pool laps then definitely sluggos/speedos.
Go the budgies DJ. You can't do laps in boardies. Good luck with the recovery.
I do laps in boardies.I am in winter swimming club too.Budgies .... don't do it!
