Back to the pool

8.00 am, 1 km, Boy Charlton Pool

I'm creeping back to the banana lounge and retirement after a cranky foot from Thursday's session.
I got more x-rays done of the left foot, the doctor showed them to me, and there are bones in there. Now waiting for the radiologist's report.

Swimming better by the day! I could be there in Beijing 2008 but not in the events I first thought.

Make sure you get second opinions especially of the radiologists report.I personally was told certain facts which were refuted by a trauma surgeon friend of mine.Bottom line some doctors and radiologists don't do a good job.

Best of luck with it.

Well I'm pleased to discover that you have bones in your foot. That will put all those rumours about you being the bionic man at rest
;-)

Just rub some Voltaren cream on it and keep running. I go to a sports doctor at randwick and they do have a leg/foot specialist there as well. More opinions are always good, expensive but good.

Of course - that is why it hurts - its got bones in it - bloody obvious in hindsight ;-)

Boy Charlton was a distance specialist so at least you are in the right pool.

Good luck with it mate.

Flakey is right - keep getting more opinions. Even with sports medicine doctors there are good and bad ones.

Go gentle with the running as you come back. Try some deep-end water running in Boy Charlton.

I wonder if you're getting nervous facing Tesso wearing your Broncos gear?

Lucky for you the GF isn't until after the birthday celebration...

Make no bones about it, rest up or you'll be in hot water...
